Minneopa State Park Frozen Falls

February 5, 2016 by spencerthegoldendoodle 28 Comments

Well, I was down to the wire but am happy to say I’m still keeping one of my New Years Resolutions: visiting a different state park each month. Even though this post is in Febuaray, I packed my human up last Friday (January 29th) and headed out to see Minneopa State Park.

Recently, this park reintroduced Bison and visitors are able to drive through and see these great creatures up close. We didn’t realize the times the Bison Drive was open so we only had 10 to drive through, find them, and turn around. Hope to visit again in the near future with some better pictures.

After the Bison Drive, we headed over to see the two waterfalls at the park. Much to our surprise Mother Nature was showing us some love in the shape of a heart.

Enjoy!

Hope you enjoyed these pictures from my January State Park Resolution trip! Below is a map showing all of Minnesota’s State Parks, Rec Areas, and Waysides. I also included links to my other Minneopa posts:

good resolution … how far will you travel? I’ve only seen wild bison once and that was while riding: orsetrotting.net/2014/07/09/part-i-horses-flannel-pjs-and-all-the-bannock-you-can-eat-in-the-saskatchewan-wilderness/
