TT: Pet Store

February 24, 2015 by spencerthegoldendoodle 7 Comments

My week long segment continues with testing out my new Solvit Deluxe Car Safety Harness. Today we are going to the local pet store where I’m in need of more food.

My food of choose is Fromm’s. Fromm’s is a family owned company bases out of Wisconsin.

While I was at the pet store, I jumped on the scale. Can you guess how much my fluffy body weighs in at?

As I stated in yesterdays post, today I’m going to show you how the Solvit Products Deluxe Car Safety Harness works in the car.

The major feature that I love about this product in the car is that it gives you options. There are two different ways you  are able to attach the safety vest to the seat belt. It all depends on how much “free range” you want your pet to have.

In the photo above is considered the safest method. As you can see in the photo, you make a circle looping through the twin harness loops and around the seat belt. This method provides the least amount of movement but is the safest in case of an emergency.

The second method,  you simply wrap the safety tether around the seat belt bringing the carabineer through the loop. Then simply attach the carabineer to the twin harness loops. This method provides the most range of motion for you dog.

One of the top reasons my humans love having me in a harness, they are able to focus more on the road and less on what I’m getting into.

Thank you for stopping by today, stay tuned for tomorrows post to see more adventures I’ve taken since getting the Solvit Products: Deluxe Car Safety Harness.

Make sure you check out my full review from yesterday’s post.

Solvit Products: Deluxe Car Safety Harness

February 23, 2015 by spencerthegoldendoodle 24 Comments

Hello Everyone, I’m back!
This week I’m excited to share with you a new product I’m testing out. That product is the Solvit Products: Deluxe Car Safety Harness.

My humans have been looking into getting me a “doggy seat belt” for some time now and jumped on this opportunity.

All week I will be sharing with you the adventures, or as I like to call them “Spencer’s Pit Stops,” I have gone on since getting this Car Safety Harness. But, today I’m just sharing with you my review of all the features this product provides.
The Deluxe Car Safety Harness comes in an informative box that shows you many of the features this harness provides. As you can see the harness I was provided was a size large, which fits my fluffy, furry body. This harness comes in sizes from small to extra large.

One of the first thing my human wanted to check out was the loops where the car seat attachment connects to the harness. I loved how thoroughly this loops are sewn in.

Tomorrow, I will talk more about how to attach the harness to the seat belt.

Check out this fully padded vest. Not only is it comfortable, but the mesh liner also makes it breathable. This feature will be great in the summer time when it gets hot out. For now, I can only dream about warmer weather. The only color this harness comes in is blue. I, however, do love the blue color this harness comes in.

Bit of Trivia: Blue is my favorite color! 🙂

The next major feature my humans check out was the adjustment. Having two adjustment straps made it more possible for the harness to fit my body securely.

Another great feature is this convenient attachment point for a walking leash. This feature makes this product great in and out of the car. Unfortunately, my humans make me wear a gentle leader. But, those dogs who wear harness, this is a two for one product.

Like I said earlier, stay tuned all week to see more of my adventures with the Deluxe Car Safety Harness and Spencer’s Pit Stops.

TT: Humans Finally Caught On

January 27, 2015 by spencerthegoldendoodle 12 Comments

With all the hustle and bustle that goes on in my house it was bound to happen. I’m just surprise it took my humans and my aunt this long to finally catch on.

Now, I bet you are wondering, “Catch on to what?!?”

Let me tell you. During Christmas time my loved ones noticed I was getting a little bit husky. And I’m not talking about the breed. After, much deliberation and many conversations my humans and my aunt found out that I was getting fed more then twice a day. I was raised to be part of the “clean bowl club” so there are never left overs as evidence of this misfortune. How long this has been happening, I’ll never tell.

Here is how my humans decided to handle this situation, with the Membo.

The Membo is a daily reminder tool that helps communicate when tasks are done. For example, when my dad feeds me in the morning he simply flips over that day’s tab and my mom or aunt knows that I was fed.

My humans got two of them one for in the morning and one for supper time. This new tool will also cut down on all the paper notes left everywhere.

Here are some great features about this product:
  • Comes in 9 different colors to match your decor.
  • Has 4 different icons you can use: Basic, Dog, Cat, and Fish. This way if you have a dog, a cat, and a fish you could have one for each of them and no one will get confused. You are able to go onto their website and find more icons as well.
  • If comes with magnets and adhesive mounts so you can place it anywhere.
  • This product works great not only for feeding animals but water your flowers, taking medications, etc.
The only down fall that I found is it cost $19.95 for one. This is expensive, but with the money saved by only feeding me twice a day will cover it in the long run.

Now I just need to work on my form in time for swim suit season! 🙂

TT: Best Bully Sticks Treat Review and Giveaway

December 30, 2014 by spencerthegoldendoodle 7 Comments

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I’m pleased to introduce two delicious treats: Best Bully Sticks Beef Puffs and Himalayan Gold Large Chew.

Best Bully Sticks Beef Puffs
These Beef Puffs come in an one pound resealable bag. The moment my mom opened the bag my mouth started to water. These light treats were not only chewy they were crunchy as well. Made from all-natural cow lung this treat is great for small and big dogs alike. What I liked about them the most is my humans can either break them into smaller pieces for training or leave them whole for a delicious treat.

The next treat I tried was Himalayan Gold Large Chew. What I loved about this chew is that there are only 4 ingredients: yak milk, cow milk, salt, and lime juice. This chew is great for my pals who have allergies. My chew was about an inch thick and about 6 inches long. My humans loved that it kept me entertained for hours. One thing my humans noticed that there were some small pieces that broke off that could be a possible choking hazard. However, anytime giving your dog treats possess that risk, which is way supervision should always take place while your pet is enjoying their treats.

Overall, I would give both these treats 4 paws up and would share them with my pals!

You can learn more about Best Bully Sticks on their Website and these social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, and their Blog.

Now time for the giveaway! If you are 18 years of age or older and a US resident, simply enter the rafflecopter below for your chance to win these treats. One winner will be selected by random. If you have a small dog we will substitute a small/medium Himalayan Gold Chew for them.

Sweet Pea Kitchens has a wonderful holiday line of treats that will leave your pup drooling for more. With names like Holiday Dinner, Potato Latkes, and Chunks of Coal how can they resist.

So what is in these tasty treats?

Holiday Dinner is made of: Gluten Free Oat Flour, Nitrate Free Turkey, Organic Pumpkin, Egg, Maple Syrup, Vitamin C, and Flaxseed

Potato Latkes contain: Organic Oat Flour, Organic Sweet Potato, Peanut Butter, Organic Dry Milk, Honey, Egg, Vitamin C, and Flaxseed

Chunks of Coal contains: Brown Rice Flour, Peanut Butter, Carob, Powdered Milk, Cinnamon, Vitamin C, and Flaxseed

These treats come in 5 ounce bags and run for only $8.00.

The best part of these treats, they are fresh and crunchy!

Wouldn’t you love to give that mischievous dog in your life a clump of coal for Christmas. Or that sweet, caring K9 a special gift? Well, make your own Treat Jars out of mason jars and fill them with yummy treats.

All I did was take three mason jars (one for each of my pals) and trace the lids onto different scrapbook paper and cut each of the circles out.

Then, I filled each of the jars with special treats. Making sure I gave some Chunks of Coal to my pals Louie and Carlie for always getting me into mischief. Once full, I placed the lids with the cut out circles on securely.

Finally, using twine I attached labels that I made to each of the jars.

And there you have it, custom treat jars that are gorgeous to give to that special pup in your life.

Sweet Pea Kitchens also has cat treats as well.

You can learn more about Sweet Pea Kitchens by checking them out on their Website, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram page.

Tasty Tuesday: Sweet Pea Kitchens

November 18, 2014 by spencerthegoldendoodle 7 Comments

I’m in love with this new brand of dog treats called Sweet Pea Kitchens. They found out about my love for apples and sent me their “Oh My Apple Pie” dog treats to try.

On their package it states “Taste the Love.” However, this treat was able to enabled all my senses. I could also see the love in the cute heart shaped design and not one of the treats was broken. I could hear the love when my human opened their resealable bag. I was able to smell the love of apple and cinnamon they used. And finally, I was able to feel the love they put into this treat with using all organic and gluten free ingredients: Organic Gluten Free Oat Flour, Organic Apples, Flaxseed, Vitamin C, and Cinnamon.

Sweet Pea Kitchens has some many great treats to choose from for this holiday season including: Chunks of Coal, Holiday Dinner, and Potato Latkes. They also have cat treats for my furry pals!

PetzLife Bath-Eaze Waterless Shampoo + Conditioner Review

August 16, 2014 by spencerthegoldendoodle 7 Comments

I’m excited to introduce to you another one of PetzLife’s wonderful product: Bath-Eaze Waterless Shampoo + Conditioner.

This product came in handy yesterday after I went for my first ever “real” swim. By the time I got home I still had that “wet dog” smell and some of my hair was matted. But have no fear for Bath-Eaze was here.
This product is simple and easy to use. First you spray this product on your pet. Next you rub it into their fur. And finally you wipe your pet clean! I now smell so good you could almost smell me through your computer. Not to mention, I’m now as soft as a teddy bear, again.

This product comes in two different sizes: 16 oz bottle and a 4 oz bottle that is handy to have when you are on the go.
I was suprised at how well the Bath-Eaze worked, especially on my tail. My mom had no problems combing out my tangles and I enjoyed all the extra attention.

If you would like to learn more about this product and many other products PetzLife carries, you can find them here: Website, Facebook, and Twitter.
