Happy Mutt Day to all my pals out there, especially to my dear friends, Louie and Carlie.
Being rescue dogs we do not have a clear picture of Louie or Carlie’s background. Who were their mother or father or grandparents. Now, with the help of modern technology, we can being to fill in those puzzle pieces.
About a year ago Louie’s parents had his DNA tested and here are his results.
My pal Louie is a Afghan Hound/Boxer Mix crossed with Brittany Mix.
Although, these test are not 100% accurate, it does help paint a better picture of where Louie got some of his wonderful traits!
Hopefully by next year, we can figure out Carlie’s background!
Happy Mutt Day!

Wordless Wednesday: Triple Studio Custom Pet Portraits
I’m excited to introduce to you Triple Studio Custom Pet Portraits. Triple Studio makes one of a kind pieces of art.
Triple Studio paints with a digital paintbrush and transfers the images onto high-quality watercolor/rice paper. You can see all the stokes and layers on the painting. Matte varnish is added on top to protect the art from dust and scratches. On the back of your piece it is signed by Crystal with their trademark.
I absolutely love this picture! Crystal did an amazing job not only on my portrait but was wonderful to work with. There was great communication and she wanted my input throughout the process to make sure I would love the outcome.
Since I got my hair cut we do look a little different. But next to the image we provided the portrait is spot on. If you were wondering about my bandana or collar, Triple Studio designs are simplistic and clean. If you ask me, my portrait fits perfectly with the decor in the living room.
Learn more about Triple Studio Custom visit them on Facebook, their Etsy page, or their Website.

Tasty Tuesday: SOJOS Simply Turkey Dog Treats
I am excited to share with you Sojos Simple Turkey Dog Treats. This tasty treat is made right here in Minnesota. These tasty treat comes in three different flavors, turkey, beef, and lamb, but my review is on the turkey treats.
These treats are 100% raw, human quality meat that is freeze-dried and they come in a 4 oz resealable bag to lock in all the freshness. The price for this 4 oz bag runs about $9.95.
I love that these treats are 100% real meat. After eating them I felt like going outside and yelling,
“I am man, hear me howl…..H-O-W-L!”
But, unfortunately, I still don’t have thumbs and mom wouldn’t open the door for me. But, I think I grew more chest hair.
There was only one down fall I saw with this product, the sizes of the pieces varied and with me being a big, fluffy dog the I needed a couple of the smaller pieces to make up for one of the bigger size treats. However, they are just as delicious and I understand when working with real meat sizes may vary.
Spencer gives this product 4 paws up!
A funny side note mom left the bag on the counter when we sent to bed and Callie the Cat got into this treats and ate a significant amount. So, Callie the Cat approves these treats as well, giving them 4 paws and a tail up.

Mischief Monday: Ragom Calendar and Fundraiser
Happy Monday Everyone! Sorry I have been absent last week, just needed some R&R time with my humans. But I’m happy to announce I’m back and refreshed!
Last week, I got word that RAGOM (Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota) picked the above photo of me to be in their 2015 calendar for the month of July. I am greatly honored and will keep you updated.
Some of you may not know, but RAGOM was the organization that rescued my mother from a puppy mill. When she was placed in foster care they found out she was pregnant with my 8 siblings and myself.
On September 14th I will be participating with my mom and aunt in RAGOM‘s Goldzilla fundraising event. My goal is to raise $250.00 and could use your help. Your money would directly to help Golden and Golden Mixes in Minnesota. It is my little way to say thank you to RAGOM for all they do for me and other K9s in need.

Thoughtless Thursday: Strike a Cord Dog Leash
Having a multipurpose leash is something I have been wanting to get for a while. A leash that I can use when I go for a walk or go to an event, or to go shopping. One leash to do it all.
So my mom decided to order a custom leash from Strike a Cord. Strike a Cord leashes are made out of paracord, also know as parachute cord or 550 cord. Paracord is made of seven strong nylon cords with each cord made of several smaller woven stands, all wrapped in a flexible outer braided nylon wrapper. The combined breaking strength of real paracord is 550 pounds making it great for parachuting. And this is also where the name 550 cord comes in.
Strike a Cord was wonderful to work with. I customize the entire leash. I was able to choose the four color, choose the length, and was able to add “D” rings
The leash is a total of 90 inches long. The pattern is a King Cobra braid meaning I was able to choose four color: Reflective Purple, Neon Green, Silver Gray, and White. There are 5 “D” rings placed every 12 inches. And finally and the ends are a clasp.
Now, you might be asking yourself, “How is it a multipurpose lease?” With my assistants help, here’s how……
Over the shoulder.
Around the waist.
Use it like a standard leash.
Attach it to a tree.
Or a bench.
Can you think of any ways I missed?
Strike a Cord also makes bracelets, collars, harness and more. To learn more about Strike a Cord, their other products, or their prices visit them on their Website or their Facebook page.

Wordless Wednesday: Bring the farm to me!
If I can’t go to the farm, mom will bring part of the farm to me. My mom has been looking and looking for antique milking cans and she finally found them. When mom brought them home she made sure to remind me they are looking at, not for peeing on.
Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
Would just like to thank everyone who helped me reach 500 “Likes” on Facebook. If it wasn’t for all of you and your support I wouldn’t be having the time of my life! Thank you from the bottom of my furry heart!
